Im sure you can barely see that picture, but I do have one of the cat I am referring too..It atleast shows up bigger on my computer.. In april of 04' my boyfriend purchased a kitten for me, all white, which we named lulu. (never did think she was deaf either, but thats a different story)

Well I was in school fulltime at the time, so he was the one mostly doing cleaning, and laundry, etc..I came home one day to no lulu..I asked, and he said he was cleaning and mopping the floors,etc..That he didnt think it was a bad idea to put her on the balcony, so that she didnt breath all the stuff in, or lick it up..

Well she never did come back. Where I live there are 3 IDENTICAL buildings. So for weeks I asked around, thinking maybe she went to the wrong balcony..
Nothing ever turned up.

Well how about this..I am at the bus stop this morning with my son, and what appears to be lulu is walking between the 2 buildings..So I didnt approach, just tried to call her alil..Definitly didnt work, and the more I did walk past, (just to walk inside) she was very timid and scared.
That was 2 yrs ago!!!!!!! Am I crazy for thinking it is her??? And would my neighbors have stolen her?? and not told me, since I did ask around??
Plus being that she was scared, I dont know if she does have a home, maybe she's been outside this whole time. Which is hard to believe.

Im looking for suggestions, etc...I dont know if I have lost my mind thinking it is her, but I do have her kitten pictures. Eventually when I get a good look I could compare, but who knows what she has been through in 2 yrs..2 cold yrs too..

So do I assume she is a family pet, do I assume she is a stray. Everyone up here is either older, or deaf, or mean. I dont see me getting far asking questions.

Should I try to put food on the balcony and see if any of that rings a bell for her??

I was SOOOOOO IN LOVE with my baby..I still look at her pics..

People that remember me, I had recently took in a pregnant stray that had 1 kitten, so I have those 2 at the moment. And even this one wasnt as scared as she was when I walked past. Can she turn feral? But even taking this one in, I questioned who got her pregnant, because I RARELY SEE ANY cats...
Lulu looked kind of big too, which would be normal I guess for a 2-3 yr old. But Im almost nervous she might be preg, or has been having litters this whole time. She could have only been 10-14 wks when she ran away
If she is being taken care of this whole time, I dont want to repay whoever with trapping her and taking her away

Please help, thanks

Cats have turned back up after long periods of time, so it is possible it is your Lulu.
I am sure one of the resident experts will be along to advise you on how to handle the situation.

First, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I've never gotten over any of my cat losses-- especially with pictures.

It may be your Lulu. It may not. Either way, why not put some food out. I think it's somewhat unreasonable to assume anything, since it has been two years, and there's no way to know if the cat you saw is Lulu. See if the cat sticks around, and then maybe you'll know better if it's Lulu by observing the cat (especially since Lulu was deaf, which is a specific trait.)

Good luck.

I think that is a great suggestion. I think you should put some food out and observe. Try to figure out if the cat is deaf or not. Good luck, much sympathy - losing a cat, as is losing any family member, is VERY tough
