I switched Tazs food a while ago because she was smelling so bad. I went to a better food with chicken as the first ingredient. Not meal or animal products. Anyway shes still going poo every couple of hours and smelling really bad. Like living room and kitchen all smell bad smell.

Is there something that can be causing this? I mean other then stinking there dosent seem to be a problem.
Any ideas?

Have you had her to the vet?, might be helpful to take a stool sample into your vet for analysis.

I have been dealing with this same issue with Brandon, who I adopted about a month ago as a companion for my resident cat. I took a stool sample, along with Brandon, to the vet last Saturday. They found a tape worm only.

The poo continued to be unfirm and very stinky, so took him back to the vet Wednesday. They did their own fecal and found major bacteria in his stool and intestines as well as hook worms. He is currently on antibiotics for 10 days and received his first dose of de-wormer. Maybe a visit or another visit to the vet is in order. I sympathize totally.

I might have to do that. A stool sample test is 20, you dont even need to take the animals into the vet, they will do all the testing and call you. So i might have to do that. thanks!

i switched from purina to science diet ( we had good luck with it with previous animals)

and yes i did switch gradualy. I mixed it half and half, then a third of the old food, then put her on the new food. But its still not helping, can worms cause this?

you added chemical presevatives to his diet ... SD in my book is not a high quality food ( unless Rx) .... Purina is naturally preserved ...
Yes worm s can but as the mom to a dog who cant handle chemical preservatives I say purina is a better food
IMHO ... you may want to look up foods on this site and get a lot of info ...
