Hi guys! This is my tortie! Her name is Kitty (for those who dont know). I really love tories. i love the color of them and their attitude (reminds me of me)
BTW ignore my brothers hairy leg in the first picture... i know its gross but try not to gag (hahaha)

the first one is my baby with my puppy. the second one is Kitty before she was pregnant and the third one is while she was pregnant. (she is now the proud mother of 2 little evil little balls of sunshine... none got her tortie coloring though
)

now i wanna see your torties!!!

What's the difference between a tortoiseshell and a calico?

Calicos have distinct patterns of color; Torties have the colors all mixed together. What I haven't figured out is what to call cats like Lucy who are calico on one side and tortie on the other.

Here's one where you can see distinct patches of color and you could think of her as a calico.

Here's one with the brindled pattern of the tortie.

They're torticos!

Tortie tops, calico bellies and feet.

My tortico PJ is posted in the calicos thread somewhere.

At least that's what I call them - since PJ definitely does not look like a full tortie, nor a real calico (not enough white). Other people call them tortie and white, but that sounded bland!
