Well with living so close to Green Bay I see Packer players enough. Like at the grocery store!!! Can't say I've seen Brett Favre grocery shopping though..
The VIPS/celebs who come to the games as we have been lucky to see games in the luxury boxes-I don't see any of them either!!!

Well, when my first husband and I lived in Hawaii back in the ealry 80's, Magnum PI came to the base looking for 5 marines to play bit parts in one of the episodes. Dave was picked as one of the 5 and I got to go with him to the set! Now, let's talk about cool!!! All I can say is, OMG, Tom Selleck is even dreamier in person!

I actually saw him at Crate and Barrel in Chicago a few years back with his wife and child...

I've actually waited on some pretty big celebrities, but I'm terrible at recognizing them! My favorite was Howie Long of the then LA Rams; he could eat 2 full dinners & was soooo nice! Also, Jeremy McGrath (motocrosser) was super, super friendly, and very funny - wasn't till he signed autographs that I realized he was more than just a really good-looking, friendly fun guy.

Am I the only person in the world that doesn't think celebrities autographs are cool? I'd much rather have a quote written out by MLK Jr or something..Hmm

I don't care much for autographs either, Sam. The Fabio thing was for someone else. At 14 what did I care about him?
Today I had no interest in an autograph. A few other people that were standing nearby were getting them. I just found it funny that I ran right into him

Squirtle, thats cool, you got his attention unintentionally

He probably remembered you more than the rest of the people trying to get up close to him! New Orleans is a mecca for celebrities! If you don't mind my sharing,
..Everytime I visit I see someone famous. Damon Stoudemire was sitting with his family at a table next to ours at The Pralines Connection during one of my visits. Another time my hubby and I were sitting at our fav. local off the beaten path bar with a few friends and John Goodman came in with his entourage to have a couple of beers. My fav. encounter was at 3 am. My best friend and I were finishing off the night, the quarters were quiet and we stopped in for a beer and a game of pool. There was Laurence Fishburn sitting at the bar getting bombarded with questions by a few local drunks. I glanced over at him and we smiled at each other but that was it. I don't like approaching celebrities. Especially ones that are off the beaten path in the dead of night more than likely hoping for a bit of 'alone time'. He was there one second, finished his beer and in a flash he was gone! I almost expected him to be wearing a long black cloak but he had sweats on.
Still, he looked superb!

As far as how tall he is.. He was over 6', I would say 6'3" or 6'5" something like that. I was just kind of shocked when I saw him. I wasn't expecting it

Ryan quit picking on me! I tried to explain what I meant but I can't explain it without using hand motions

On tv he looks like a giant... Not knowing his actual height, I imagined that he would tower way above me. Maybe even by 2 feet!
But in person, he isn't even a foot taller than I am.

Is this clearer???

That is pretty cool! I don't think I've ever run into a major celebrity. Not that I'd notice! I went to a big music festival and volunteered one summer. I walked right by a few of the artists and never noticed. Had a pic taken with one, didn't know who he was, just that my friend wanted her pic taken with him so I got mine done too!

I did go to a concert once and my friends and I always stood in line for autographs afterward. Well one time we were in line and one of the guys from the group walked by on his way to the table...and we were dressed almost identicle! He looked at me, I looked at him, both our eyes got big and I think I died right there. We both had on black button down shirts, rolled up to the elbows, top few buttons undone, boot-cut type jeans, and black boots. Then believe it or not-I saw the same group at another concert just a few weeks later. I'm standing in a mass of people in the lobby of the place that it was at. A different friend was with me yaking about something which I don't remember. I do however remember saying louder than anticipated 'But Karen! I gotta pee!' And who walks by...same guy. Looked right at me again too! He probably remembered me and thought I was some weirdo stalker girl! (I was single back then too!)

Not even a foot taller...
So that would make you about 6 feet... 6 foot one?
