Spike is 3 weeks old today, and he is suddently not interested in his bottle, unless it's a chew toy. He DOES seem interested in the canned food his 3 "puppy siblings" have started on. (No, I won't feed Spike THAT!
)

He's got teeth 1/2 in, so I was pondering trying a canned kitten food. I was curious as to the mixture of formula vs. food, as I see that many of you are weaning.

I got some samples of food from his vet, however, he won't take the bottle anymore, so suggestions as to how I can get this down him would be appreciated.

I would try starting out with mostly formula and slowly adding more wet food in. You can try introducing the mush to him by by syringe or try putting a little bit on the roof of his mouth. When he gets interested put some on your finger in front of him and slowly lower it down to ground level where the dish is. When i found Lucky she was only 3-4 weeks old and she dove head first into the wet food (i didn't even know about mushing it then!). Good like with Spike...can't wait to see more pics!

awww hope he starts eating food! I would mix the kitty milk with both wet and dry food and make a nice big mash, hopefully he would lick it up
