if the mother cat has worms the chances of the babies hving them are very high im not sure about worming with feeding kittens though. i would prob get vets opinion and also see how soon the babies can get wormed also

yes, you can use a dewormer on the nursing Mother. I would not recommend the store bought kinds, though. You should bring in a stool sample, so the vet can identify the type of parasite, and treat accordingly. Also, while you are there, tell him you will need to worm your kittens a few times as well, and he should send you worming medication to worm them 3-4 times before they go to their new homes, around 10-12 weeks old.

Strongid is safe for cats at any point in pregnancy or lactation. It is also safe for kittens as young as two weeks old.

As for other worm medicines, ask your vet what should be done.

It is extremely important to deworm a nursing mother since a combination of nursing and worms can really zap her internal resources.

This is what my Skittles got only because I wanted to. We could not get a stool sample and she was sick so it was better safe then sorry. Knock on wood she did not have them but she had the poops all day
