I know some of you have followed by posts about Gizzy and her kitties (and I thank you for all your patience!).

She moved them from the bedroom closet birthing area to under my bed. They were doing SO wonderful under my bed. Getting fat and happy and they were warm and happy.

Right now she is in the process of moving them again and she's moving them into the hallway closet! What is going on? Is this normal??

I looked this up to see why she was moving them. From what I found most mothers will move there kittens at least one time to get away from where she gave birth to them at, to get away from the smell of blood. It also said that sometimes mothers, especially first time mothers, will move there kittens numerous times. It didnt say why some mothers and first time mothers move them so much though. Some of the reasons it gave for moving them were, there is too much light where they are at now, she feels they are in danger, they are being bothered to often or she feels threatened. There were a few other reasons listed on a few of the pages I looked at but I dont remember all of them. Hope this helps you some.

Tinkerbelle was happy with the nest in room we made into the 'cat nursery' until they started wanting to venture everywhere. Since yesterday, she tried to drag them under the bed (dark and quiet there) but they ran back out. She has given up now and let's them run around.

I don't think its good if mum is constantly moving the babies. She might be extra nervous if she's a first-time mum. Was there a lot of noise/people or other animals going in and out of your bedroom?
