My cat Marco is almost two years old and has been neutered for over a year. He is a lot less vocal and aggressive now.

But, about two or three times a week, Marco gets into these moods where he will grab his plush cat toy and wrap his legs around it or sit on it. He deliberately lays down next to me and challenges me to take it away. When I reach for it, he meows and "charges" at me.

Actually, it's fun to take it away from him. I'll throw the toy and he'll bring it back and wrap his legs around it again.

I'll miss his crazy hormones after he settles down.

Marco will also act like he's "mating" with a certain blanket. He grabs it in his mouth, rubs his rear end on it and purrs.

The hormone have been gone for a while if it's been over a year now. Lots of neutered males have "special blankies". You can remove the "baby juice" factories, but you can't remove the urges (at least not with anything short of a lobotomy).

The urges may die down with age.
