Don't know why I just now thought of this, but I forgot to scoop litterboxes before I left for work this morning.
I'll be going home to a really stinky house and some po'd kitties!

Uh oh! Princess Dori would be soooo mad at me if I forgot
On the weekends I scoop her box later than on the weekdays. If I wait too long she will stand there and meow in front of the box.
I was sick with the flu earlier this year and didn't scoop her box one day when I was supposed to. She came into my room and peed, right in front of me, on my quilt.
I never would have expected that!

Talk about making a statement!
Poor Tanya!

I hope your four are reasonably understanding, Eileen.

They'll be lined up at the door with their little hind legs crossed just waiting with pained expressions on their little faces.

I laughed really hard when I read this. I am trying to imagine a cat with it's back legs crossed.
If I were drinking milk, it would be coming out my nose right now!

Everything was fine. I have such good kitties.
No one had "expressed" their displeasure with me outside of the litter boxes. Did notice that as soon as I cleaned them, they were all occupied!

Mmmm I hate forgetting to do this because my two girls are penned in the downstairs rumpus room and it's by the staircase so if I don't do it - it travels all over the house!

my mom used to have a cat that if you didn't clean the litter box she would go in her bath tub it was gross. But it was a good reminder to keep the litter clean and that particular cat wanted it cleaned after every three uses she was a high and mighty cat. My tavia she is really good about not being a pain about her litter but if its not cleaned properly my dog will get into it and thats not so good and my sisters dogs are staying here too they get in the litter box more than the cat does I have to keep them run out.

I'm glad all was well. That wouldn't be the case at my house. We have to scoop out one of the boxes after each use. We have two Littermaid boxes, but they aren't big enough for Forest. He has an underbed storage box for his...and if you don't keep it pristine, he'll just use the floor.
