Anybody have comments?
I love the game (but only play it when the sun's up)
Do you think the movie is as scary?

I haven't seen the movie yet (I have only seen movies in the theater TWICE in the past year
), but I did read the movie spoiler b/c I was dying to know what it's about.
From what I read, it's scary and gory- just how I like 'em!
Looks like they're doing good things with video game adaptions these days!

looks to scary for me... I'd be under the seat for the whole movie
Scary movies just scare the living daylights out of me, I don't know why
Haunted houses don't scare me, being alone in my house at night doesn't scare me, but Scary movies
the worst one ever was The Ring, that movie scared me so bad I wanted to leave the theater, but I was to scared to move
my ex-brother-in-law's date actually asked him if there was something wrong me

Ben and I are both huge fans of all the games! We really liked the movie and it kept mostly true to the story (not everything is in there as it would be too long). All the music is from the games and the monsters are recreated very well.

We both agreed that watching the movie is no way scarier than the game, but you have to consider that most people have become desensitized about gory films, whereas in the game you really do feel responsible for taking care of your character, you are making the decisions and ultimately any mistakes. That's a type of scary no movie can ever beat.

You like SH? Cool!
I haven't even checked for a review on this movie yet. I didn't know it was out. I love the Silent Hill series!!! I don't think the movie could possibly be as scary as the game, but I'm interested in seeing it. I like the characters and the story has a certain depth to it that I like as well. I think it gets a good message across that hell is what you make it. Which ones have you played? The only one I missed was the third one.

I love the series as well. I've missed out on 3 AND 4. Getting 4 soon, but I can't find 3 for xbox ANYWHERE and my pc's too crappy to run SH games ( I bought 4 for it, and no go. Something about shadows.

I really want to see the movie.

Prepare to be disappointed with 4 then. I don't think it's as good as 1 or 2. They didn't use light or fog like they did in the first two.

I just checked a review at IMDB. It got a 6.9 out of 10 with over 8000 votes so far. That's pretty darn good for a horror movie. I'm thinking it's a must see, but I didn't like Resident Evil at all, which got a 6.4. Hmmmmmm...

I really want to see this movie!! My hubby and I have been silent hill addicts since the first game came out on PS1. The only one that we missed was three because by that time we had Xbox and 3 didn't come out for it. I was also dissapointed by four, it just didn't live up to the others in my opinion. Still a good game, I guess I just had higher expectations. I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie though, if its even half as good as the first game it will be worth the money!

My friend told me that it was bad. I was told that if I wanted to see it then wait for it to come out on DVD and save my money.

Time. I wasn't able to play it when it came out, so I never got around to it. I wish I had tried it instead of 4.

My boyfriend is a huge fan of the game and we liked the movie a lot. It had some really GREAT bloody gorey parts. Just what I like to see. The ending was interesting. The whole movie though seemed a bit long.
