He was THE BIGGEST cat weve ever seen. about 20 lbs. And LOOOONNNNNGGGG. But he was the sweetest cat. Oliver was his name

Actually, cats tend to get fatter on dry. Most dry foods contain a lot of carbohydrates, whereas canned is more protein, more in keeping with a cat's "normal" diet. As cute as your mom's cat is, she might try feeding some canned food, or light food to try to bring her weight down. Like humans, obesity in cats can cause many health problems.

She is beautiful, though!

I like to say that plump kitties like Tigger are Rubinisque.

She is adorable.

Our samantha was 22lbs at her heaviest weigh-in. She's dropped most of the weight now, what with old age and some health issues that go along with that. HOWEVER there's no bobcat in her, shes all domestic shorthair Baby!

I have a weaknes for fat cats. Tigger is a perfect example! She looks so friendly and adorable. I love watching them trying to bathe themselves because they usually end up tumbling all over themselves. My kitty is borderline fat and I'm amazed how flexible he is considering his size. He is really floppy though. I wish I had a vid of him flopping it is so cute.
