The little orange one...

i just thought you guys would like to know that Kitty's orange kitten opened her eyes today! i'll try to get pictures but i dont have a digital camerea so it might not be for a while. but i have a question. i thought that they wern't supposed to open their eyes until like 10 days? is this normal? she is only only like 4 or 5...

I've heard of some as early as 3 days up to 12 days, anything in between is normal. Its hard to predict and every kitty is different.

yeah i saw that post! When i saw that picture i was like

one of my foster babies opened one eye at about 3 days old. Now at 2 weeks everyone has their eyes opened

it really is a cool thing to see. it makes me smile now everytime i look at her/him!

i have a question. how long until they can retain heat by themselves and dont need mom in there to keep them warm?

My rex kittens started to open eyes at 5 days to 10 days. As long as they are not in bright light when the eyes open, you are fine.

My kittens are 15 days old and their eyes are just starting to open How long until they should come out of the dark closet and begin to see the world?

My cats were a week old on the spot when their eyes open..And their mom (being a brat) would not let them be kept anywhere but on my bed so they got to see the big bad world right off the hop

yeah, Buddha (the orange one) will only go exploring when i let her crawl on me but when the mom is around she wont let them out of the cage and she fusses at me for waking them up.
