Does anyone have any suggestions for healing a dry nose? My Victoria has allergies and from time to time gets a very dry and peeling nose. It usually clears up within a week but she has had a perpetually dry nose for the past month. I have started L-Lysine again with her food and although this has helped with the nose discharge it is still very dry
Obviously she licks it all of the time so it has a hard time healing. Any ideas?!? I hate to have to take her to the vet or give her allergy medication.

Are you sure it's just allergies? I don't know much about dry noses, except that it could be symptoms of other illnesses. If you're sure it's allergies, maybe try something that is edible? There was a thread on rough paw pads, and someone suggested "bag balm". I think that's the name of it. I'm not sure if it is solely for paws (I've never personally used it), but maybe go to your local pet store and ask a salesperson if that balm, or another kind, is edible. If it doesn't harm the cat if the cat eats it, I'd try that and see how the nose goes.
