I also have another question. Is it true that the father to the babies will kill all the males if he gets a chance? I dont even know who the father is. She runs around outside a couple times a day and so i guess it was a stray that got her b/c i dont know of any male cats around here. Anyways, I have a male cat that is also kept inside but he has been fixed. Should i try to keep him out of the room (where ever she ends up having the babies) or could i trust him to be around them? Thanks everyone!

Normally she will lay around on the couch but the last few days she wants to hide and only come out once in a while, thats why i am wondering if she is getting really close. I am wanting to be with her when she has the babies, thats why i am so concerned about her having them. Its her first litter so i dont know if anything will go wrong. I have done a lot of reading and research on when the time comes for her to have them. I dont plan on sitting right next to her side or anything when she has them but i want to stay across the room or just check on her every few minutes. do you know why she doesnt want her belly touched? most cats (so i thought) loved there belly rubbed. She did before she got pregnant anyways.
Well, like I said in a previous post about my pregnant girl, she is carrying around two airships on each side!

Your girl is about due. Just humor her and give her some nice attention but don't fret over her or get anxious. Let her be, keep an eye on her and if you're able to be there when the babies are born, great! Sit back and watch and enjoy. If you're not, don't worry about it. She will most likely do fine on her own.

I want to try my hardest to stay somewhat close when she has the kittens. She is actually my 3yr old daughters cat. She would be so upset if something happened to her. I want to try to prevent anything from happening to her if something was to go wrong. I only got about 4 hours of sleep lastnight b/c of the bad storms we got, so my luck since i am so tired she will go in labor tonight LOL J/K about it being tonight but i'm sure it will be a time when i am really tired in the middle of the night or while i am gone one day.

Off subject, but how are things down there in Missouri with the storms and all? I hope all is well in your region. Been reading about it. I LOVE Missouri!!! I want to buy a house in the Ozarks and do the Laura Ingalls Wilder thing!

It stormed really bad lastnight where I am at. I am SO glad it did b/c we needed the rain so bad. I am hoping we get another couple days of rain. Where are you wanting to buy a house at, Mansfield?

We finally got rain here too, needed it very bad!

The Mansfield area would be my choice if I sell and relocate to MO...maybe Ava or Moutain Grove. I'm a Laura Ingalls Wilder fan, BIG time!! I own and have read all her books (3 times), also all the books about her, her journals and her editorials, plus the Rose Years too. She is a very inspirational person...amazing how hard people will work and take pleasure in just the simplest of things in life. I love her

My goal is to at least come down there and visit the area, which I think will happen sometime fairly soon. Then I will decide if I will buy property and settle down in a town around there. I was born and raised in NH which until just a few years ago, was the small quiet farm country I grew up in. Not anymore. Southern NH is suddenly become an "annex" of urban Massachusetts. It's horrifying and well, really really sad!

Good Luck with whatever you decide to do. I have been to Laura Ingalls Wilder home one time a few years ago. It was really neat. I'm around 40-45 minutes from Mansfield. I am an hour from Mtn. Grove. I went to Mtn. Grove on Sunday to buy a dog.
