Preservatives in Food

Thread Starter
My vet has recommended Hills WD for my cat. It contains bulylated hydroxyanisole (BHA for short), bulylated hydroxytoluene (BHT for short and ethoxyquin. The legal maxium limit for these preservatives to be used in pet food is 75ppm (parts per million). Ethoxyquin has never been tested for safety on cats, only dogs.

My concern is this is only food my cat is to eat, every day, every meal.
