I am interested to know what time it is in other parts of the world where TCS members are.

I noticed that there are many from various parts of the USA which i assume given its great size there are different time zones between the north and south?

Also members from Australia, Germany, Bosnia and Israel.

Here in the Uk it is 6.15pm at the moment. Just curious

I am in California and it is 10:20am here. The US has 4 (6 if you count Alaskan and Hawaiian time) Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific from East to West. I am in Pacific and New York is in Eastern

Usually this isn't a huge issue for us Americans.. I don't know anyone who lives real close to the time border- that must be interesting, but I think it is divided to some extent right down state lines. I have to drive about 14 hours before I will get to a new time zone. Going across the country is 3 hours and I've never had a terrible time adjusting. The only interesting dilemna I ever had was when I worked in a place that had to call businesses all over the country. You couldn't call the California business first thing in the a.m b/c they weren't there, but if one worked late you could call them until about 8 p.m.! It does make for craziness during presidential elections- If it is real close the press doesn't know how to call the election until the wee hours in the east. Of course that wasn't the only problem in 2000.

I Live on the border between eastern time and Central time. It is crazy. Its 12:58 here now but you drive over to Alabama wich is like 5 minutes away, it is 11:58. You just have to make sure when you cross the state lines that you are accounting for the time change. Not too big of a problem!!
