I may be the only one who does this but I have to be in a certain mood to watch a movie.

Angry - any natural disaster movie, if I am mad at the world I like to watch it end
Sad - You Can't Take it With You from 1936, it reminds me that life is good no matter what, its what you make it
Happy - any scrrewball comedy
Romantic - Sweet November or An Affair to Remember.
When I can't sleep - The Shining, no matter what I have never been able to stay awake for the whole thing.

What do you guys watch?

When I'm sick at home off work or something, I usually watch my favorite movie, Anne of Green Gables. Actually it's got like 3, six hour long movies in the trilogy, so it's an all day project, which I usually split uo into 2 days. It's got the most beautiful scenery of Prince Edward Island, it's funny, sad, happy, mad, melancholy, all in one movie. It always makes me feel better, and I watch it every time I'm sick, ever since I was a kid. That and Little Women.
On a date, since it's usually a first rate movie and not at the Budget theater, I just pick one I really wanted to see. They usually go along with it and even if the date goes bad, at least I got to see a good movie!

Usually when I'm sick, I'll watch a whole season of FRIENDS - or 10

I have all 10 seasons, so its seriously an all day project to watch them all - even tho I've seen each one a million times, I love it anyways

If I'm at home alone just vegging out in front of the TV, I usually end up watching The Notebook, I love that movie!

When I'm depressed and need a good laugh I watch "Dead Alive", yes it's horror movie, but it's really goofy and funny.

When I want a romantic movie I watch the A&E version of "Pride and Prejudice", "The Village" (I just can't get over Joaquin Phoenix), or "Walk the Line" (again with Phoenix).

When I want something funny I usually watch a goofy horror movie like "Army of Darkness", or a regular comedy like the National Lampoons movies, John Candy movies (especially Space Balls and Uncle Buck, and that one with the raccoons when they go camping, which I can't think of right now!).

If I feel like crying forever I watch "******* out of Carolina" or "The Joy Luck Club."

The Great Outdoors - one of the funniest movies ever. I love the scene when the racoons are raiding the trashcans and they have the sub titles for what they are saying to eachother.

Amelie always sets me right when I'm in a funky mood. Absolutely brilliant film. And it actually has made my French improve after watching it 8 billion times (I'm like that littl kid who won't stop watching The Little Mermaid, or as I called it, Little Mermy, only with an offbeat French film)

When I'm feeling like I need a little romance, I pop in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, or The Notebook, which is my HUGE guilty pleasure that I wouln't normally admit to loving, but I do. I'm also obsessed with re-reading The Time Traveler's Wife when I get mooshy feeling, so if they ever make that into a movie (and it reads like a movie if you know what I mean), I'll probably get obsessed with that, too.

Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet or A Very Long Engagement will also do it for me in the sappy, depressing romance arena and the best romanitc comedies are Say Anything, High Fidelity (John CUsack rocks my socks) and Love Actually.

When I'm feeling silly, I'll pop in But I'm A Cheerleader, I Heart Huckabees, Mean Girls, Saved!, Some Like it Hot, Arsenic and Old Lace, Bringing Up Baby, and anything made by Wes Anderson.

Movies for when I'm feeling thoughtful would include Crash, American Beauty, Waking Life.

And I'm ALWAYS in the mood for Tim Burton.

My favorite comedies are

I absolutely LOVE movies.

When I am in a cleaning mood: I turn on Sister Act or Honey or Bring It On or something that has to do with dance or music.

For a good laugh: White Chicks or The Rundown

Sad: I like to watch Sister Act(my almost all time fav movie, besides sister act 2) or Where the Heart Is.

Angry: Mean Girls

When I need inspiration: Hotel Rowanda, Crash, or Veronica Guerin.

When I want to be scared: The Exercism of Emily Rose or any new scarey movie I haven't seen yet.

When I'm tired and can't fall asleep: Silence of the Lambs. I've never seen it the whole way through because it puts me to sleep every time.

I watch movies that fight any mood. I"m watching pretty woman now on tv. I'm going to watch Jurassic park after that. I"m a
flexible movie person.
