HAPPY ST GEORGE'S DAY

May I ask what St George's Day is?

I was wondering the same thing, I just Googled it and found out that h was the Patron Saint of England. Sounded like a pretty interesting guy. He stood up to the Romans for persecuting Christians and died for his beliefs.
here's the link I found about it.

I think if you follow the link in K M's thread you will find one of the reasons why people do not really celebrate St Goerge's Day.
Apparently it is offensive to be English in England

That was not the case when I was a child,I used to go to a Church of England school and I used to be in the Guides and Brownie's so we always celebrated St Georges Day.

LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
