What do you wear to weddings?

I have a wedding to attend... its my cousins on the 28th of June and i am clueless on what to wear!

i am currently bidding on a sex and the city dress but i am not so sure if its appropriate.

Fran those dresses are in for weddings so i would go for it!

I've got one in september but i haven't got my outfit yet.

I've got my shoes and matching handbag though, and last week i bought my head piece which is feathers

Last summer I had 3 weddings to attend - I ended up wearing a simple black dress that was quite summery with a pair of heels. For the others, I wore a nice longer below the knee skirt with a dressy/conservative top.

It depends a lot on the time of day of the weather and what style of dress is specified on the invitation.
If it's daytime I'd wear a dress or pantsuit that you'd feel comfortable wearing to church.
Nighttime you can get a little fancier and wear something more cocktail-y.
And, if the invitation says "formal", a long gown is acceptable, or a cocktail dress.

I wanna see that dress if you get it!

With my body type, I find dresses make me look even chunkier, so I usually try to wear black pants with pin stripes and a sexy top. Covered up for church of course! Or, the one I have goes off the shoulder, and I just pull it up over my shoulders during church, and down at the reception!

Is it a day wedding with afternoon reception? If not, avoid the sex & the city dress.

If its evening - go for it! Weddings are always the best way to meet someone and you might as well be smoking when you do!

I usually wear a black skirt that has these layers with some either silky tank top if in summer another top if cooler or my sleeveless black dress with pearls or one of my many scarves. I have funky shoes and purses to cordinate!!!

It is a sicilian wedding, so it will most likely be an afternoon/evening wedding.

Its my cousin that has had lukemia, he is recovering very well and his fiance has put her foot down that they HAVE TO GET MARRIED!

the only thing i will need is a handbag Although i could just use the one i have now and i will need like a small jacket.

That is a cute dress!! I usually wear one of four skirts with a nice top. Today I wore a silk, cream colored pleated skirt with blue flowers on it from Banana Republic, a nice sleaveless shirt, and some black leather flip flops. My 3rd cousin got married at 4:30

I was just showing another dress to nicky that i didnt bid on and it had hot pink at the bottom but im going to wear a silver with like Diamonds necklace and a F badge with the same thing

I actually dontl ike hot pink teufel might attack it as its his FAVOURITE colour! ut i would use baby pink accessories

Oh and i just bought a pair of cowboy boots too but not for the wedding
