Hi - My boys are slowly approaching the year-old mark and I am soon going to switch them over from kitten food to adult food.. they'll be so happy they no longer are stuck with just chicken flavor

I currently feed them Max Cat Kitten Chicken Flavor Dry Food. They do not get wet food because Shorty's tummy is sensitive so the vet suggested I keep away from the wet. They a free fed 24/7. I have a couple of questions on switching them over to adult food.

1) I'm thinking sticking to the same brand is probably the best bet? So Max Cat adult food?
2) How do I slowly transition them over if they are free fed? Do I mix a couple of spoons of the adult dry food in over the course of a month till its basically all adult food? I've been told transitioning them slowly is the best approach, but since they are free fed, do you think they might pick out the preferred food (adult or kitten) from the mix?

Any suggestions/advice on the topic would be great! My boys are growing so fast
Thanks!!

same brand is good ... I am guessing no tummy issues?? ... I would use the Natural choice adult but Max is fine for many kittys... If your going to start with the chn flavored adult no mixing required I would mix for four days cause the shape is different .... if going to another flavor yes you would need to mix as the kitties havent had it before

when I switch the kitty's food, I do it over about a week to two weeks. I might change to nutro nartural choice instead of nutro max, but that is just my opinion. Good luck and I hope everything goes well.
