Hi - My boys are slowly approaching the year-old mark and I am soon going to switch them over from kitten food to adult food.. they'll be so happy they no longer are stuck with just chicken flavor
I currently feed them Max Cat Kitten Chicken Flavor Dry Food. They do not get wet food because Shorty's tummy is sensitive so the vet suggested I keep away from the wet. They a free fed 24/7. I have a couple of questions on switching them over to adult food.
1) I'm thinking sticking to the same brand is probably the best bet? So Max Cat adult food?
2) How do I slowly transition them over if they are free fed? Do I mix a couple of spoons of the adult dry food in over the course of a month till its basically all adult food? I've been told transitioning them slowly is the best approach, but since they are free fed, do you think they might pick out the preferred food (adult or kitten) from the mix?
Any suggestions/advice on the topic would be great! My boys are growing so fast
Thanks!!
