Hi there.About an hour ago i went outside to the bin and simba rushed out passed me, so i left the conservatory door open for him to come back but when i went back to see if he was in, he was but another cat was in the conservatory with him,A huge Ginger cat and simba was cowering. So i shooed it out the door and closed it.
Anyway theres a really really strong smell all over my house now, smells worse than when simba does it, so i think it has marked/sparyed somewhere but ive checked the entire conservotory and cant find any wet.Is it possible that he has just left a bad scent in here?
As i say its spread all around the house now wven though it was a separte room.It smells terrible, can anyone help or sugest anything? Thanks.

you can try a febrese for the air, that works well, also the fabric refresher, spray it all around where that cat was. it IS pet safe

Thanks i have ended up scrubbing the conservatory walls and floor down and sprayed febreeze the smell seems to have nearly gone now
I did notice a dark drizzle down one side of the wall so think that must be where the other cat sprayed.Naughty cat
i didnt realise cats would mark in another cats territory!

For cats it's all about marking. When one cat sprays, another will come in and try and cover the scent with his or her own. It is a territorial war of urine, and as cats are scent-driven they use urine as their weapon. Febreeze will mask the odor, not get rid of it. Until you get rid of it completely the cats will return every three days to refresh the spot. Look to an enzyme cleaner www.zero-odor.com anti-icky poo- nature's miracle- one of those will wipe it out.

Also this product just came to my attention. I am in the process of testing it out now

I completely agree...it's exactly what I was about to say, too. Make sure to spray that exact spot that you noticed that looks like might have been the spot he sprayed.

I have only just recently heard of Zero Odor, so can't recommend that!

But as you're in the UK, I can totally recommend Simple Solution Cat Urine and Odor Remover! (You can buy it at Pets At Home) It works really well and smells pretty nice too!
