"Salmons bad for your cat because of the mercury!!!!"
1) Why?
2) Does that go for only raw salmon?
My cat refuses to eat anything besides Fancy Feast Grilled Salmon (w/ gravy). It took me a loooong time to find something she wouldn't snub her nose at, so how bad is this?
If its really bad, then i should switch foods, right? So in order to get her to eat something besides this salmon, should i just force it, just spend money on food i KNOW she doesnt like until she eats it out of hunger?

Cats usually love Fancy Feast but it is not a very good quality food. I would suggest you read the labels at your local pet food store and try a few better foods to find one your cat likes. Look for foods with no by-products. If you do a check of this forum you will find a ton of information on food recommendations and information.

Do you mean that better quality foods with salmon are okay? How about fish in general? Mine will stick her dainty little nose up at most everything if it doesn't include fish of some kind, and I do buy the better quality with no byproducts.

I honestly can't answer your question about Salmon and it's dangers. Neither of our cats like anything with fish in it so I only buy meat foods. There are other folks here that know more about nutrition than I and I'm sure they'll be along to help you better understand about salmon and fish products.

salmon normally is lower in mercury than tuna.... Basically the smaller the fish the less mercury... because mercury store s in fatty tissue so when little fish gets eaten by big fish , big fish now has mercury for two ...

I try to do seafood in moderation my girls both like it but it is not kitties natural diet ... kitty food make up for the vitamin issues with fish by addding in the right ones..

DO NOT FEED RAW FISH unless told to by a vet ... raw fish can cantain parasites

Since I've switched Harley over to his wet diet - he really likes the Salmon flavored Meow Mix pouches - those are okay, right?
