Is it just coincidence or do male cats fart more then females? The only two males cats I've ever known (Whitey and a college roommates cat) has the worse farts and poos I've ever smelled. Whitey almost smells like skunk (I know its him too cause he pooped right in front of my as I Was cleaning up the litter).

Good grief that was horrible! Thank goodness I have a full can of Glade!

Well, with three of each I can tell you, my only gas-bag is my baby girl, Ivory.
She certainly makes the dog smell pleasant

Glad to know its not just boys!

When we first got Whitey I figured it was the transition between foods, going from one brand to another as Luna was a little -but not as bad- like that when I switched her off of kitten food a while back. Now 4 weeks later he's still gassy as ever!
Maybe his body just doesn't like the food we're feeding him?!

Zissou STANKS sometimes. I've had to follow her into the bathroom and turn the fan on after she uses the box. She doesn't fart anymore since we wormed her.

Once the smell made me puke though...

ya know, I swear there is some connection between the FeLV and being a stinky kitty! I've had quite a few stinkers, my little Rocket was a room-clearer too as well as Junior, I think they both had a touch of Irritable bowel syndrome and currently I know when Pandora has visited the facilites
and Simon has his moments also
In the past, I've had luck with Iams controlling it, not the best food, but it worked and that's what I was aiming for

The only time I had a cat that farted was when Cookie was being treated for worms as a kitten I heard it when he went #2.

NOw you guys are scaring me! Whitey is due for his Rabies but all this talk of your cats farting when they had worms concerns me!

I'm finding a local vet in the next week to get his rabies shots and hopefully a checkup!

Betsy will let one go when she's being brushed, I think because she's so relaxed it just slips out

Me too! I just thought that my kitten was the only cat that farts...and he's a male, my other old cat a female (who is no longer with us) never never farted in 23 yrs. Just goes to show that males are the same
