All this talk about meet-ups makes me want to have one here too! I know there are a few members from "the heart of it all" Susie (kittylover4ever), Courtney (oscar'smommy), and John (AmbertheBobcat), are all in the northern section and Eileen (eilcon), is more southerly. Anybody else out there?? Let's get something together! I don't want to be left out of all the fun

Maybe we could all meet in Columbus since it's in central Ohio. Those of us in Cincinnati could meet the northerners half way. What does everyone think?

that sounds like a doable idea- we'll see if anyone else has any other suggestions or recommendations

If you do it in Columbus in the middle to end of next month I could even come! I may be from Indiana, but I go to school pretty close to Dayton. Is Columbus an hour from Dayton? I've been to OSU once, but I can't remember exactly how far it is.

Dayton is about an hour from Columbus (give or take a few minutes).

Anyone else have ideas on when/where we can meet? I'm not all that familiar with the Columbus area, except the near the mall where Katie and I met for the "kitten exchange."

I'm not that familiar with Columbus either- bout that only thing I know down there is Dave & Buster's
which is like an adult Chuckie Cheese for those that don't know, lots of fun

This is a great idea. Maybe one of the BIG kids could come along and meet everyone. The question is who could I bring? Amber, Boris or is it Carmelo? Nakoma is out of the question, since he is not used to car rides. Our friend has an exotic cat sanctuary/education center that is near Columbus. It's in Johnstown. She does do tours, so maybe I can get something set up. Amber, Boris or Carmelo can stay there while we go eat. There is a restaurant in Pataskala Ohio that has meeting rooms as well. It is a buffet style, nothing fancy, but a good place to meet and talk. The only thing I would need to let everyone know is, there may be a small fee to visit the sanctuary. This helps cover the cost of caring for the cats and building new enclosures. They have a lot of plans for the facility and once complete, it is going to be really nice. She has a bunch of domestic cats to play with as well. These have been found abandoned. The end of May would be really good. I have a vacation then and the weather should be turning nice. Anytime would work for me however, but I need to know ahead of time, so I could get the day off and also set up the time at the sanctuary, if anyone would be interested in that.

This sounds great!!! I'd love to meet one of your BIG kids and see the sanctuary.
The only weekend that won't work for me is May 19-21 (have a meeting out town), but am flexible otherwise.

How about everybody else?

That would be awesome John! I would really enjoy the sanctuary as well as meeting one of your "big" babies
Sounds like the perfect area too. End of May sounds good too

I'd be interested in an Ohio meet-up, too. I'm pretty flexible on weekends, and Columbus isn't too bad of a drive from Cleveland.

Oh this sounds like fun!! Jerry and I will be in TN from May 27 thru 31 and we have a party go to on June 3. Anytime other than that should be fine. Would anyone mind Jerry tagging along? He would love to see the santuary and then I won't get lost. I've never been to Columbus!
