Madden has done this his whole life and I just wondered if anyone else's cat does this.

Whenever he plays with his favorite toys he growls and spits and hisses like something is trying to kill him (or maybe he's trying to kill someting
) and it sounds horrible!! Its hillarious to watch though, he just carries the toy around in his mouth growling and hissing, even though no ones trying to take it from him or anything.

He only does this with his favorite toys and especially any toys that have feathers or bells. Does anyone else's cat exhibit this very odd behavior??

Its not uncommon to be awakened in the middle of the night around here to a toy jingling and Madden growling!!

I've always described it like hearing a baby lion cub growling.
It DOES sound a lot like that!!!

YES...Our Hobbes does this, too. Since he does it to his sister (who loves him SO much, and gets really hurt by him doing it), we just don't let him play with those certain toys. Hobbes does it with foil balls and anything with any feathers or fur on it. Otherwise, they play happily and contently with one another.

My Pandi did that with me! Especially playing through sheets or blankets. Just like the old Tom and Jerry intros!
