Okay I had Kevin coming over to my place today to meet Teufel and Kaylee and as soon as he patted Teufel he said "why dont you feed him?"
They have Dry food out all day long constantly refilled, and they get two portions of wet food a day....

Plus Teufel has a big belly! and he is very long!

Has anyone ever come to you and said that?

I'm not sure why anyone would say that. Does he think cats should all be super fat?
If someone came to my house and said I was abusing my cat I would be super offended and that person wouldn't be in my house very long.

I have people say that about Harley all the time - they think he is fat when they first see him running around - but when they pick him up or play with him, they realize that he's NOT fat - he's very long and lean!

I hate people that say that.

I know that they wouldn't like it if you came into their home and insulted THEIR weight!

I don't understand why people say stuff like that. But its the opposite with my boy Flibbo.....a few friends have said he's chubby when the vet says he's the right weight.

Just because his cat weighs 26 lbs doesn't mean that every cat is supposed to, or should weigh that much. That was pretty rude.

Ha ha! That is the one of the best/worst insult you can say to a guy. That would have shut him up really quick.

You should have replied that perhaps his cat is eating his food thats why the cat is fat and he is thin!!!

Could he have been joking? I refer to Buddy as my "poor malnourished pussycat" and he weighs about 12 pounds.

i picked up on that right away too, i can't stand it when people call an animal 'it', if someone comes to my place they are bonnie, pandy and anassa...not the dog, cat or it.

people say bonnie is overweight and she is a bit but she's on a diet now, iv'e also had people comment on anassa's weight, she's a very lean dog which isn't helped by the fact that she's very fussy with her food and burns a lot of energy doing laps around the yard and beach....she's very fast, like a greyhound lol

i actually took her to the vet because she was hardly eating, she ate chicken breast and sliced ham but nothing else and she was losing lots of weight, the vet told me to stop feeding her and only give her dog biscuits, she wouldn't eat much for a week and was losing more weight, i was going to take her back to the vet but then all of a sudden she's eating biscuits every day....she was just very fussy, she still gets tonnes of treats as well as her usual meals...just not chicken breast all the time

People make remarks about Pepper being chubby untl they touch her. She has her little spay pudge, but she is the densest cat I have ever felt. She looks like this cute chubby kitty until you pick her up, then you can feel that she is a mass of muscle. She weighs about 15 lbs, but is not much larger than Pearl, at around 10 lbs. It's good that she is so sweet, because she could really do some damage if she ever got aggressive.
