My girl Festus is such a goof. This morning I was in the bathtub, and just as I closed my eyes and put may face underwater to rinse my hair, I noticed it seemed awfully dark. I mean, I did close my eyes, but it was REAL DARK. And when I came out of the water....the bathroom lights were OUT!
So I'm thinking, and I decide I am SURE the lights were on! So I yell to dd, in the next room, asking if the lights are out. She says no. And I can hear the TV still on in my room, behind the bathroom. Finally I push back the shower doors, and spy Festus, on the bathroom stepstool, trying to open the doorknob with her little brown paws. Of course, the light switch is right next to the door, so SHE turned out the lights!
And last night, she was silly, too. She loves to burrow under laundry, and dh had his brand new suit laying on our waterbed, and of course Festie was eyeing it. I kept telling her no, and finally she went "away". I was laying on the other side of the waterbed, watching TV. I kept feeling occasional little "waves", as if she was still on the bed. And then I heard her little friendly chirp mew. Finally, I asked dh, Where is Festus?!?! A little searching found her, she had burrowed under the covers, and under his pillow!
He picked her up, and cuddled her upside down, and said, "I know Mommy loves you, but you are just one weird cat!"
What would I do without my little Festie? She is such a silly, but sweet girl!
