OK, the 27th is our 15th wedding anniversary and I can't think of a thing to give my husband. If he ever needs anything he just buys it himself, and he's not into cars, hunting or other typical guy things. I have no clue.

Um, wrap yourself up in a big bow that he can untie in the boudoir?

After you arrange for the kids and kits to be elsewhere...

What about arranging a trip or outing somewhere, and taking him on a mistery trip. My daughter took her husband, for his 30th birthday treat, for a night at a village hotel, near a beer brewery (his favouite type) where she'd arranged a tour around. He loved it.

Maybe there's somewhere you could think of that might mean smething to both of you.

(This is kinda weird) Do a HUGE treasure map hunt for him.... he has to go all over town for different clues.... and then when he comes back there's a really yummy dinner ( you don't have to cook it!!! ) and maybe something a little lacey and silky?

Thanks, guys - good ideas! I was thinking of a watch, even though he doesn't really need one. He's kind of "into" the giving-presents-according-to-years thing!

Ian just told me he needed an "engagement watch" and he's not into typical guy stuff either...maybe the watch IS a good idea

Or if you are feeling generous...buy 15 gifts....each one representing something special about each year for the two of you. And put all of them in a huge box! Now that's the kind of present I like!

OOh, I like that idea.
I try to follow what the gift category is supposed to be for that year's anniversary, but for our 10th, ended up getting him a watch - I wanted something for him to wear that would remind him of me, just as my diamond anniversary ring from him makes me smile when I look at it.

Fwiw, I bought it via Costco online - for a lot less than the site I am linking to - wanted you to see what I bought. I think it's a gorgeous watch
It is Tommy Bahama brand, and unfortunately, no longer offered on Costco's site.

He's into music (of course) - all kinds, and he's a software developer, so he has anything he ever needed for his computer. He likes to go to the casinos, so maybe I could take him up to the casinos for the evening...

Hmmm...he is familiar with megatokyo? www.megatokyo.com dh loves this, and some of their wares - i.e. Magic Coffee +1 (a mug), various of their tee shirts, I've bought him all editions of their books which contain all the strips from the beginning. Seems to be popular with a lot of programmers, developers etc.
