Callie Has a Bladder or UTI--Question

I caught Callie urinating on the carpet in the living room yesterday & took her to the vet today. They did bloodwork and it was stellar! The urine dip-stick test they did showed blood and high bacteria count. The urinalysis results will be in tomorrow. They sent me home with amoxi drops, which we'll start tonight.

My question is should I put another litterbox in the living room where she's been urinating? She went over to that area of the living room earlier and I shooed her away. She eventually went to one of the other litterboxes in the house and went A LOT!

I do have another cat in the house, and we have 2 boxes. Until this, Callie NEVER had a problem using either of the two boxes.

What do you guys & gals think?

First of all, you need to clean the spots with an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle. This will stop her associating with the spots. Also check out this thread. There is lots of advice. http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9563

Thanks! We have cleaned it with an enzymatic cleaner once already (this afternoon while she was at the vet) and are waiting for it to totally dry. I think she's just used to going in that spot and was 'checking it out'. I'm just trying to avoid further urination in that spot.

I would put a litterbox there. At least for now.
