All 4 are doing well. now 5 days old, and now i noticed 2 have one eye partially opened! It seems really early, but i think taz was holding those babies in for a long time.

We are going to go up into the mountains in my area to have a burial for all three tonight, im going to make a memorial for them for me. Put it on my alterspace, so that they will always have a home, even those they are gone.

Im doing better now, i was really upset and mad at everyone and everything. But i calmed down and realized that no matter how hard you try, sometimes its just not ment to be. At least he was loved while he was here, and held when he passed.

Well i need to get back to my own child. He is tearing up my house!

Oh, I am glad the other kitties are doing well!
And how precious, that the other babies will be buried together, to always rest on your mountain.

Rest in peace, sweet kittens. Run healthy and free, over the Rainbow Bridge.

Losing these little ones is never, ever easy for any of us. My heart goes out to you and I share your pain. When the forces of nature work so hard against all of our good intentions, it does both anger and frustrate us. These are entirely normal parts of the grieving process. You have done something wonderful, whether or not everyone would agree, and I would encourage you to be kind to yourself right now.

These kittens touch each and everyone of us, and when one passes, we seem to all feel it. I am so sorry that you lost Lil Red. It is hard to put in everything and still lose, but I agree with Gaye, that you did a wonderful job. I don't think there was anything else you could have done, and I am very sure that Lil Red felt your love.
I am praying for you and the other babies to keep up your strength. I look forward to watching these babies grow. They are just beautiful.

Losing kittens is so hard. In my last litter I lost four. Don't be suprised by eyes opening some kittens are born with their eyes open.

I am sorry you lost 4 babies. It doesn't get any easier.

I haven't experienced kittens born with the eyes open yet, how often has this occured in your kittens? Do you find any ocular problems occur when kittens eyes are open at birth or shortly after?
Our Momma's really seem to go at 65 days gestation like clockwork and a large number of our kitten open their eyes at 10 days old. I have had it happen earlier and later, but not much later.

It definitly doesn't it, does it. It was our last litter so it was harder to come to grips with.

It hasnt happened very often, just a few kittens but we've had a lot who open their eyes 2-3 days after birth. No problems with early opening eyes.

You're lucky your kitties are so text book. Persians are no picnic to breed.

Sorry you lost the kittens. I hope you found peace putting them to rest in the mnts, it sounded like a lovely place

I have never heard of or seen kittens born with their eyes open, either, but have seen them open within a few days. Although, mine never usually do, they seem like they take forever, the last litter was like two weeks before they were all completely open. This litter is 9 days and all of them but one has both eyes completely open, and the one has 1 eye open and the other is almost. But, I think around 4 or 5 days the first of them had eyes opening, it's fine.
