now they both have it!
At first I was afraid that it might be Cheyletiella, but I took a couple of samples to school and its just regular dander.

ew.

What can I do to help get rid of this? Sammy looks homeless and dirty.
They both get brushed nearly every day, and they eat a good diet. Can I supplement their food with something to help?

Nala has really dry skin, and the last time she was at the vet he suggested Omega 3 oils to help. It comes in capsules which you can give like a normal pill, or puncture the capsule and mix the oil in with their food. This is what I do as there's no way I'm going to try and pill Nala!!
It seems to be working, her skin isn't as dry as it was.

I've used Omega-3 fish oil for dandruff and found it works quite well. Bathing helps, too -- but don't overdo it or you make it worse when skin oils are washed away.

I've only ever tried olive oil and Sam didn't like it too much.

I'll have to look for fish oil. how long does it take to have an effect?

I might try the salmon or olive oil then as I feed Mav a high quality diet but she still gets flaky skin now and then.

Trouble is with her, my family feed her too many prawns (shrimp) which she loves to show her they love her. So she fills up on these and i'm sure she's lacking vitamins.
