Chloe had her babies up in my sons closet, which is where I wanted them to be, but I am wondering how warm or cool should I keep it? He has a a/c in his window, and it does get warm in there. I have had a couple windows open but this afternoon it got really warm in there. I turned on the air to get some cool air in there. This should be ok, right??
I wont leave it on all the time, just when its really warm in there.

I would close the door to the closet and keep the a/c on low, if it has to be ran...but keep a thermometer handy where the nest is, keep checking babies.

~Well last few days have been nice so I am just keeping a window open up there, so its not too stuffy. But they are keeping warm...I keep the closet door closed, except a crack for Chloe to get in and out.

Kittens need a fairly steady temperature of about 85 degrees to surivie. They get most of that heat from their mother.

Kittens' bodies do not have the ability to generate enough heat or maintain when they are first born.

I would suggest you not use the air conditioner until they are about 2 weeks old, when they are developed enough to maintain their own body heat.

Hot and stuffy is better for kittens then having to rely mom having to keep them warm 100% of the time.
