While I'm here I'll give an update on my little man....

We are 10 days old, ears are open, eyes are not. He is eating well, and not dehydrated...and his diarrhea is gone

And now he's constipated.

at lease I think so. He hasn't pooped since last night, and it was a normal poop. However, today, no poo.

I've got a call into the vet...but they are out of the office until Tuesday, and on top of that its 10 pm, on a Sunday, so I'm not expecting a call until at least tomorrow....

I've massaged his tummy, and he seems to try to go...but no luck.

Any hints??

I think 24 hours is when we say it is constipation. I know in the older cats we give pumpkin. Just straight canned pumpkin. Maybe his bit is to tired from all the poop before. His body is trying to get caught up.

He finally pooped about 5 am, and it was hard.

The vet called me, and told me to put some triple antibiotic on his bottom (poor thing, it just healed from the diarrhea), and watch his next poop.

arrrghhhh!! The waiting....

Okay...while I'm here I'll give an update....

He is 3.5 oz, and the corners of his eyes are starting to open!!!

He pooped a little bit ago, and it's normal.

I was looking at some pictures I had taken, and although he was born on April 6, he has almost doubled in size. Amazing, and my vet is thrilled. (So am I)

our babies are the same age! My cat had her babies on the 6th too, she has 4 babies (well 5 were born and one died, and when she started labor on the 4th she had a still born premie, so she really had 6 kittens) their eyes are all open and have almost doubled in size too.
