We have a momma cat that just had her first litter. There are 2 kittens so far. She has cleaned them well and both are moving around and mewing, but neither one seems to be able to latch on to feed. Both are rooting around, I tried to get a little milk out so they could smell it, but was unable to get anything. Is this normal? How long should it be before she has milk, and/or they will latch on and feed? I'm very concerned and any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks

No milk that I had noticed before hand. I now have one that is nursing, am just waiting on the second one. If she were to have more, on average how long would it be before she had them? She had the second one over an hour ago. I haven't noticed any contractions, so am wondering what time frame is normal for delivering them all.

might want to call a vet. There was a few that delivery a day after but that was under vet supervision. Do they look healthy.
