Tomatoes (especially the skins) are great for dogs, but something is making me think they're not so great for cats... I don't think they're toxic... I don't know for sure what's making me think this.
I won't let him eat any more tomatoes... I'm good about not feeding them things that are bad for them. Like I said I just didn't think he'd even try it. *shake of the head* Thank you all for alerting me to this.
I know with my vet at my parents' they're real good about telling you quick over the phone if you're not sure and cant get to the computer to find out what is and isn't ok... Cuddles (the dog) likes to roll the tomatoes that fall off our veggie garden plants around the yard and occasionally eats them... the cat's had no contact with tomatoes though
Tomatoes are relatively safe as long as you make sure the tomato is ripe .... The green parts ie stem or a not fully ripe are toxic... Personally I try to avoid tomatos and the cats...
