Emmie, my stalker kitty, she started flipping out by rolling, flopping, then winding her self up in my power cords, then she did the unthinkable. She attacked my arm and BIT me. no damage done but that startled the heck out of me.

I think she got mad because she kept throwing herself on my mouse and I kept pushing her away. Ya know it's not easy using a mouse with a cats butt on it. Sheesh.

for whatever it is worth, I kept a handbell near the computer and everytime Abi tried to walk on the keyboard I rang the bell and she stopped.

I just dont think pushing a cat away is a very effective or loving way to handle things. Cats are much more agreeable when the bond between you is intense.

just because she pushed her away does not mean she doesnt love the cat. i bet everyone in here has pushed there cat away at one time or another when they get overzelus!!! sometimes, a lil push or shooo! works, or tossing a fave toy in the other direction works too.

Well, when I watch my gang play, they push each other with their bodies. I think pushing in cat language is more like "lets do this together". I've never actually pushed my cats because I always pick them up and move them somewhere else, but I don't think they'll feel bad if I ever try pushing or shoving them.

I guess what I meant by pushing is that before her butt would land on my hand I would shove it into another direction, therefore her butt is landing on the carpet instead of me. I have to remove Emmie a number of times as she is totally in your face. I love her to death and she knows it but as dogs do, I think cats try to establish a dominancy thing and I will have nothing of it.

I've managed to train Zissou to not walk on the keyboard. She steps everywhere but, an inch on any side and her feet are there, but never on the keyboard, because I always move her feet if they are.
I have learned how to type with Zissou laying on both hands... Its cause she wants to sit on my lap but the computer's already there.

It is always startling when they bite, huh? I think Zissou gets PMS sometimes, she gets so irritable sometimes. (She's spayed).
