I'm fed up of this...(work)

I came in this morning and said to the 2 girls I work with that I wanted to leave at about 4pm today as we are going out for dinner. We all work on flexi time so as long as we check with each other then it's ok to leave early.
Anyway, they didn't say anything and that was half an hour ago. They then must have had secret discussions, which they do all day everyday but I don't pay any attention anymore.
One of them has terrible mood swings and can be such a ***** when she wants to be. She just, with a face that would make a baby cry, said 'Right I'll stay tonight it's fine. One of us has to be here'. Apparently they both wanted to leave early for different reasons today but didn't say when I said. How the heck am I supposed to read minds?
I said it's ok I'll stay I don't mind, and she was like no no. You've both obviously got important things to do... in a really nasty way. The other woman goes on holiday on Sunday so obviously she's busy and needs to pack etc but this girl is making out like I am the worst person in the world for wanting to leave early.
If they don't discuss things with me, which they never do, then I don't know! I feel terrible now but the 2 of them are so horrible together they just moan and bitch all day long and nobody can come between them. This is just typical of her childish, spoilt behaviour.

Poor Lauren . People can be so nasty sometimes and there is no need for it is there. I'm sorry you're having an uncomfortable day.

Well, tonight you'll be out of there by 4 and able to look forward to a wonderful evening. What's more, you no that for all of the next week half of the deadly duo will be absent - that's probably why the other one is so crabby today .

Aaaah you're right, I didn't think about that. They are both easier to get along with while the others not there.
She's still moaning about it and I keep saying it's ok I'll stay I don't mind!! and she just says No I'll do it, but then goes on to say how annoyed she is about it. She is being a martyr (sp?). I'm not going to keep offering because she's just an idiot. They are whispering now though and I hate it.
They do it all day everyday anyway but now I know it's about me.
I hope I get this other job so bad so that I can get out with here and work with people who have a higher mental age than 16!

Well if they are going to bitch and moan no matter what you do, then just do what pleases you.

Sounds like a very unpleasant situation. Here's hoping you get the new job and you can leave these 2 to there own, rather sad, lives.

I'm going to. If I offer again she might just take me up on it and then I'd be stuck here and rushing for my meal so she can stay and cry about it all she wants.
I just want the day to be overwith now because you could cut the atmosphere with a knife! Aaaah who cares, I'm getting used to this petty behaviour.

Lauren don't feel bad. Don't offer anymore. Yu are handling it so much better than I would. i would have told her off by now! Its only a matter of time before you get a better job and the4y are stuck with their same jobs and they can snivel to each other about it!!
