how do u know if ur cats in heat

ok. My cat has gone totally strange all of a sudden. She's all hunched down, and very sensitive in her back end and her tail. It literally came on within turning my back. she keeps licking herself to. Is this heat or something else. cud she be contsipated.

I think it cud have been wind. how wud u know if she constipated.

Well I don't know how old your cat is, but if it is in the 4-7 month range then yes she is most likely in heat. She needs to be spayed ASAP. It is best to do it before the first heat but as long as you do it right away, the sooner the better. There is a link on here somewhere to a list of low cost clinics where you can search in your area.

Its usually pretty obvious when they are in heat. They call with a strange noise, hike their rear in the air everyhwere they go, want lots of attention, roll around on the floor, it literally looks like they are in pain if they dont breed. It could be a different form of heat too, an earlier stage or your cat could have different signs. If she is constipated then you might need a vets recommendation.

Is she calling or meowing as well? If so, definitely heat. Don't let her get out, whatever you do, and call a vet as soon as possible to get her spayed!

yes she was calling and meowing really loud but it was really sudden. and she was al strange on her rear end all hunched.But then she farted and it went but then it started agian. strange
