I pray that it is only a sick joke. And that the poor kitty used was not really hurt. If you go back to the page that the video is on... I left a comment for the person who uploaded it to that site. In his opinion... it is a "funny car commercial" He is a sicko in my eyes if he thinks that is funny!!!! Watching that makes me just want to break down into tears!!! I just can not stand it!!! It breaks my heart.

It's old and it's fake, and it's sick, regardless.

It's fake!!! Oh thank god!!! But shouldn't these people who made it get in trouble???

It's definately sick!! Who would want to see that commercial? Ew.

If I recall it was an overseas commercial, can't remember where.
You'd never see a commercial like that in the States without a huge disclaimer on it and even then, I don't think it would get past the censors.

OMG, that was really gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could someone find that funny in the least???? I would think that car company would lose a lot of potential costumors. I know I would not shop with them!

Oh, I didn't watch the link, but I think you're talking about the Ford car ad where the kitty gets decapitated in a sun roof?? That is fake, although it looks unbelievably real, and the whole ad campaign has been banned in its entirety throughout all the countries where it was scheduled to be shown.

There has been a public outcry and outrage over the commercial that Ford published an apology and pulled all the ads.

I can't believe they got past the director's meeting, myself, stupid, stupid people.

It is a real commercial, the end says it's by FORD sportka. www.the-eviltwin.co.uk. it wasn't made in the states, as fake as you can see it is Americans are too squemish to promote any commercial like that. It's not funny, and you can tell it's fake and obviously no cat got hurt making it, it's just stupid. I really don't know why some one would make a commercial like that, it certainly doesn't make me want to go out and buy one, and i'm sure they didn't sell any cars because some one saw the commercial and thought it was funny and decided to buy that car because of it. Poor taste and judgement from those advertisers.

OK, if they were promoting the dangers of getting your hands, fingers, cat heads caught in a closing window, then I could see their point.

But why advertise to promote a car with a cat getting its head chopped off. Thank god you mentioned the apology from Ford, KitEKats4Eva!

Ok, so it makes me fell sooo much better knowing that the cat did not actually get hurt.
But... it worries me that we have such idiotic morrons in this world. What has this world come to when these people think advertising a cat (or any animal) getting hurt with their product will actually help sell that product???
Oh how I would love just one minute (I would actually take 30 seconds) with the idiot who thought this commercial up.

It was never supposed to be shown anywhere. It wasn't approved by anyone, though they did pick something just as stupid with a pigeon.
Ford claims its one of those cases where someone makes an ad and it gets shown without any approval. Advertisers sometimes do this and then hope that if its successful they'll either get hired or paid... The advertising equivalent of ambulance chasing.

The first time I saw it I thought it was real too and was super mad. Its still gross and stupid, but at least its fake. Sort of.

We already have a long SOS thread about the commercial: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...highlight=Ford
