Ok Skittle has been sneezing a week now and last Thursday she had a little raise in temp the vet gave us some meds which are now gone. She still has the sneezing. She is acting like I do not feed her. She is starving and she is grooming me lot are requiring my attention. We do suspect she is pregnant, but her nipples are still the same cause I can not feel them. Her last date outside was March 24th. I have no clue what a heat looks like but I think I heard it when she came in the house on the 24th till the 26th and that was it. I have not heard what might be a heat since. No clue how often they get a heat. I need to figure out If the sneezing is bad to take her to another vet. Which I am in a small place so the next vet is hr and half away and I will have to do emergency. Not a problem but just wanted some other advice.

Under a stack of blueberry waffles.
With symptoms like a fever and sneezing, I'd seek a second opinion, personally.

If she is pregnant, the increased appetite is most likely marking the beginning of the more intense developmental stages of the unborn kittens.

If she's pregnant, you should be feeding her as much as she wants of a decent quality KITTEN food.

The vet didn't check for pregnancy when you brought her in?

Does she still have the temperature?

Nope he didn't check cause she was so scared. Well I just got home and I went to the same vet but i was a total B#$%H I figured I am paying the bill he will listen to me and check what I want and get rid of the snot nose.
Ok This is what we had done. There is no fever this time or discharge of the nose. He did a chest x-ray and he did say he feel little round things in her tummy but he did a chest xray not tummy. So he saw nothing on xray but feels she is at the least 25 days. I am to keep her on the nutro kitten food as much as she wants(which I already do) We are doing more antibiotics cause she has a touch of Bronchitis but we can not give steroids. If she does not stop sneezing in a few days and the xray shows it is worse we will do the steroids. He did say there is just very little on the films it looks like we caught it in time last week so now we switch Antibiotics for the next week.... I know he said he can feel little round things should I trust him since he did say he wont be abe to see them on xray until she is at the least 45 days.

Thank you. I did figure she was pregnant, but he said he felt little things in her so I am sure I should trust him. Just hard because I do not feel it and I take it the xray was just the chest... I wish I knew so I could prepare and make her comfy.

Hi there,
I would suggest a 2nd opinion since she is not getting any better, but if she IS pregnant there is not alot that the vet can do for medicine. I am not sure how many days she might be along in her pregnancy but it is hard to see them on x-ray untill after day45-50. How old is Skittles and I am curious as to why she is not spayed yet, I am not being critical just curious if there was some health issue with not spaying her (ie: not safe to be anesthatized?)
I am hoping that she is doing well and if she is pregnant I cannot wait to see pictures of the little angels.

She was my husbands cat and he passed away so she had to get use to me in order to go near me. She was due in Oct but he passed then. There has been alot going on lately.I just earned her trust a few weeks ago. The last time she was outside was March 24th.

She is my baby now. I have been able to wrangle her to the vets 2x now, but after today she wont even get out from the room
so I took a step back. The vet even said I have worked wonders with her. She sat on his table purring :O)

LOL that was psychic or what. My son is in the shower and skittles is chilling in the sink cause she was thirsty
Does anyone know how far I have to go with her then. He said she is at the least 25 days. He wont do a x-ray again till she is 45 to 50 days. Which I will have done to make sure things are well. Should I trust him when he says she is pregnant. I mean she is eating like a horse but I was not sure. He said they are small like a nut right now. He thinks cause she is a big cat that she will have at least 4.

Well, cats don't need to be in heat to breed and if she was out for any length of time, it's a pretty safe bet that's she's pregnant.

I am not positive but I think gestation is 63-68 days ... look in the breeders corner or the prego cat section.... I am glad she is being sweet
