Just wanted to request some prayers/vibes for a feral mama cat and her newborn kittens. We've had the mama cat in foster care for a week. She came down with a pretty severe upper respiratory infection a couple of days ago. We were hoping she'd hold off on having the kittens, but she delivered four between early this morning and late afternoon. She's completely ignoring the babies, so our coordinator, who's been in regular contact with our vet, is feeding them. She's had years of experience caring for kittens/cats, so if these kittens have any chance at survival, they're in good hands. Please send some vibes and prayer for the little ones and their mama. Thanks.

Prayers for this wild girl, that she will settle down and care for her kits. And get over her cold. At least she will end up spayed when this is all over, so she comes out good. Hopefully those kittens will thrive, too!

Just heard from Millie, our coordinator, who said the kittens survived the night. Mama cat has been trying to nurse them and Millie's continued feeding them as well. But, mama herself hasn't eaten in three days and apparently had a very difficult delivery, so she's going to the vet ASAP. Please continue to send vibes/prayers for our little foster family.

Besides an upper respiratory infection, turns out our poor mama cat also has a uterine infection. No wonder she had such a difficult labor. Since she hadn't eaten for a few days, the vet force fed and gave her liquids, which Millie will repeat tonight. She's back to not nursing the kittens. Such cute little things, two cream colored, a gray/black tabby and tuxedo. Mama herself appears to be a Siamese mix - beautiful girl. Please keep the prayers coming. Our mama cat should be okay, but it's going to be touch and go with the babies.

Some sad news this morning - one of the cream colored kittens passed away overnight.
Mama cat also seems lethargic and is refusing to nurse the babies again. She's on her way back to vet. Please keep the prayers coming.

More sad news this morning - we lost the other cream colored kitten overnight. Our mama cat, whom I've named Mia, has completely rejected the kittens. The other two are fading fast, despite everything Millie's doing to keep them alive. She's also concerned that Mia might night make it. She's still not eating, although Millie has been force feeding her and giving her liquids. Mia's very lethargic this morning and her breathing his labored. She's on her way back to the vet. Please continue to pray for Mia and her babies.

I am so sorry Elicon..*hugs* It's so hard to loose a kitten, especially more than one...and to see them fading is just terrible. I sincerely hope that Mia and the other babies make it.
