So I had some soured cream on my face
and all 5 of my cats were going crazy trying to lick it off! eeeech!

Is this stuff ok to give to cats? I think its kind of like yoghurt, and I know yoghurt is good for em, so...?

Oh, yeah, they love sour cream all right!! But actually, it's not quite like yogurt because it doesn't have the live lactobacillus cultures that yogurt has which makes yogurt easier to digest. So sour cream carries the same caution as milk or cream: a little bit is OK but too much and you're risking stomach upset or pudding poop.

I agree that a tiny taste won't hurt, but it's really not healthy for cats due to their lactose intolerance. As previously stated, quality yogurt is a healthier alternative due to its live lactobacillus. You may want to consider treating your kitties with healthy cat treats instead since these are made specifically with their nutritional requirements in mind.

I have given skittles plain yogurt for 12 hrs when she did not eat. She ate about 1 big TBLS that was it. I could tell she loved it but was not feeling well.
