So, I have two kittens, Bella, who was spayed at 12 weeks, and Rowan, who is going to be neutered on Friday.
Well, the vets and I believe that Rowan is bilaterally cryptorchid. He was a foundling, and it's possible that he was old enough to have been neutered. We did a blood test that was inconclusive, but Suday he went absolutely nuts and started trying to hump poor Bella. I have the separated now, because he was biting her neck hard enough that she got scabs, but I was wondering why he picked her. She was spayed when she was about 11 weeks, so she's never even been in heat.
Could he be smelling a neighborhood outdoor kitty being in heat, and going for the nearest girl he can find? Could the spay have been botched so bad that Bella actually is in heat? She's been whiney since I separated them, but they're the best of friends, and she mainly whines when she hears Rowan calling for her.
