For my company e-mails we are required to have a signature at the bottom with our position and all of that. No one bothered to tell me that I spelled Clerk wrong in it!! I spelled it C-L-E-R-C-K. I know there is only one C in it!! I am so embarrassed!!

But if it makes you feel better,
I see typos in company signatures too.
From VPs to Customer service people.

Just the other day i saw one that should have read "Customer Advocate".
Insted it read "Customer Addict"

I am obsessive over having everything spelled right in my posts here and e-mails I send, I check and re-check before I hit "send" or "submit"

Only is ONLY, not onlt. Thats not really a spelling error, though, is it? Isn't it more of a "my finger hit the wrong key" error?!?

Poor Phenomsmom.

Something tells me if this thread was an english class we all would be doing pretty bad and there would be a lot of red ink everywhere!

Has anyone seen the emails that reference a study at some ivy league school?
The email contains a paragraph of intentionally mispelled words or words with out the vowels.
Its amazing but when you first read through it, you dont notice any errors with it at all. the human mind is a complicated thingie

The day I see "Customer Addict" on a store employee's nametag is the day I get kicked out for disruptive non-stop laughter.

LMAO. I remember seeing a sign welcoming people to the "Pubic Park" in huge bold letters. It took them 6 months to get around to changing it. You weren't employed as a sign-maker at any point, were you?

There was also a memorable high-school class when someone asked about "public hairs".

I don't know what email program you use, but I have mine hooked up to Microsoft Word so that it spell checks as I type.

I use to be an excellent speller, however since learning some programming and such, I've become horrible!

Hehe we went through a reorg last year where our group got renamed. It is an acronym we refer to often...but it took months for my boss to say what the acronym stood for correctly. So his e-mail bottom also had the wrong thing for a department name (I mean pretty far off) for months! I did too but I found out the correct name before he did

Aw don't feel bad. I've seen it and done it too.

BTW....for my students, I grade in purple! (That's mostly because of red being the color of aggression. But I like it better anyway!)
