Just kinda getting a bit worried that Chloe has NOT had her babies yet! I think its odd that I took her to the vet almost 4 weeks ago, and he told me like 2 weeks is all she had left! I mean shes *huge*, but she dont even seem to be anywhere near close! Shes not been nesting or anything, should I be worried guys??
Thanks for any info.

If you feel worried trust your insticts. But, you will find that many people here have had the same things said by their vets, "only a week left" and then they post that it's been weeks, and nothing, and before you know it they are here. Vets just give an estimate, and aren't always completely acurate, with out a sonogram or ultrasound, I don't think they can be completely accurate, and even with those done, they can't predict when for certain they will deliver. But, Definately if you feel some thing just isn't right call your vet, they may want to see her. Good luck, hope all goes well.

As of today at 3, my momma cat wasn't doing any of the above. She was so big she couldn't get into the covered litterbox. By 5:00 she had 5 kittens! I am so shocked! She wasn't even nesting, just plopped in the corner of the closet and BAM!
Nature usually takes care of business but if in doubt, take her to the vet.

Unless you know the EXACT date and time of the mating (and even then) it's really just a guesstimate. I took my kitty to the vet who told me "2 kittens within 10 days - and if she went more than 10 days, bring her in". Well, I had a "feeling" so I didn't bring her in after those 10 days.

21 days later she had EIGHT kittens!

I know how worriesome this waiting game gets, My girl went 68 days & I knew the exact date that they bred. I was crazy with worry. But then I noticed she was a bit more restless & staying in her nest that before then she hadn't ever stepped a foot into. Then shortly afterward I noticed that she had a tiny bit of discharge. She did this for a day & then she started meowing at about 8:30-45 The next evening & Had her fisrt kitten at 9:11. I think that I would have totally missed all these small signs If I hadn't of watched her like a hawk.lol Now we have that to do all over since we have 2 Persian mommies expecting on the 4th of may then June.
I'll be a wreck! Just relax, She will have them when you start thinking maybe she just ate your couch & Isn't in fact pregnant. lol Also I wanted to add that I diligentley took My girl's temp twice everyday at the same time as well & It didn't drop as some say it does so I think all girl's are different. I hope she has them soon, Good Luck! Dawnde

My cat never nested either, it just happened very suddenly. She was there on the sofa, blood came, my fiance freaked and called me to get home immediately. It happened very quickly.

(Can't help but imagine the awesome jaw-unhinging power a cat would need to swallow a watermelon)
