Hello all!

My girls have been eating Nutro Complete Pouches. They only eat three of the four flavors so I have been looking for a different food to feed them so they get some variety. Well, they did not like Truimph, Max Cat, or Nutro Canned, but they like Merrick's New England Boil!!! However, they are eating it very slowly......is that a common reaction because there are more filling ingredients???

Thanks!!

Perhaps? I have been trying to switch the Z over to Merricks wet and she takes all day to eat it. It seems more that she doesn't like it very much to me, but I hadn't thought of that she's just eating slower. Usually its gone in five seconds with her other food.

The reason I think they like it is they ate it right away whereas usually they won't even try it. They are both relatively slow eaters, but this is slower than normal. I think maybe our cats are just filling up quicker now! They do say that the better quality food, the less a cat will eat!

I think it is the texture difference ... pate and gravey kitties are acustom too Merrick is almost like a stew for them..

Thanks! As long as they are eating it, I am going to continue to feed it!

I feed Mittens some of the Merrick canned food and there has yet to be a flavor he doesn't like. Previously I had tried Nutro and Max Cat and he didn't like those at all.

Do you notice your cats eating Merrick slower though? I do think they like it; they are just eating it slower than normal...
Thanks!!!
