Greetings,
I had a funny question...regarding catnip.
We just adopted a 2nd cat who is about 8 months old. He's a sweetheart!
One of the homeade toys that I gave him was a sock (clean of course
)
with catnip inside. The sock is tied so that it's really a catnip toy ball of sorts. I gave it to him, and an hour later the sock was completely wet- from him licking the sock. At first I thought he had dropped it in his water bowl- but then I saw him licking away at it. He can't seem to get enough. My concern is that it might be too much of a good thing. He gets super rubby dubby after he has licked or smelled it and gets a little funny (in a cute way). He seems to be enjoying himself immensely- but I don't want to be an "enabler"
I actually took the catnip ball away for a while yesterday because I didn't want him to go overboard!
Does anyone know if too much sniffing/licking/eating of catnip can hurt them?
(That's him on catnip)
