My husband is not fond at all of my new 6 week old kitten "OZZY". Any ideas on how I can train or teach him to stay out of a specific room? I would like to be able to keep my bedroom door open, and not worry about finding Ozzy on our bed.
I would like to try to keep our bedroom OZZY free for my husband.

your best bet then is to make your own door by using heavy mesh screen on a wooden frame. I use this type of door to block off the entrance of the second floor at the foot of the stairs. The whole second floor is really a cat room. It is very effective to keep cats out or in depending on what you want to accomplish.A cat is not like a dog where you can just tell it to sit and stay and it will. My suggestion is you allow your husband to gradually get used to Ozzy. Maybe some interactive playtime with a toy on the end of a fishing pole might do it? I don't know very many men whose heart cannot be melted by a little kitten who finally decides to snuggle down into a manly chest.
