We were supposed to have 92....but it rained yesterday. Now there are 51 cats that cannot have anymore litters (or create anymore litters).

No....we don't take pictures at the clinic. Typically we are all so busy that taking pictures would be impossible.

Hehe... I guess that would make sense
Other people I've seen taking pictures for publicity's sake, and to show how it's done; but if you are short-handed, it sure makes sense not to be clicking away when you need that pair of hands too!

I envy you! How many vets?
In my organization, 2 vets operating for 4 hours average about 25 cats, majority are toms though. Is this a good number?

That is good...we had 6 vets that worked for 3 hours. We did have several pregnant cats that we spayed.

I wouldn't miss a clinic....I absolutely love being there and seeing all these cats getting fixed. We had a pair of very young kittens and the girl was so tiny on the spay board..but she got fixed and will be going to a foster home.

Yes they can. Some vets only will spay up through the first couple of weeks....however given the fact that these feral cats are very hard to retrap, every cat that is pregnant is spayed.

Actually I love it. I don't cry much because I know that all these cats will now receive daily feedings from a caretaker..they will also be healthier due to being spayed/neutered. It's a VERY good thing.

Yeah... *sigh* Our 20 cats (total feral population... small town) aren't all spayed/neutered yet... of course there are only two people taking care of them, and we have to pay for vets. And then someone comes by and says 51 cats!--wow. Just wow.

Callista....don't judge your success against the clinic I volunteer with...we have a MUCH LARGER area that we are trying to address. The fact that you are even working on TNR is worderful!! Keep up the good work.
