I have never seen this before, and Bosley seems healthy, and nobody at the rescue seemed concerned, but I am still curious, and wondering if this is anything to be concerned about.

I know it is extremely difficult to tell male from female cats. In this case, however, there is no mistaking that Bosley is a boy. His testicles are quite pronounced but he seems fine and is in no discomfort, so it seems. Doesn't seem to be swollen. Just ... prounounced. lol And quite apparent.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there anything to worry about? He's only about six months old and not yet neutered (and yes, he is indoor and will be neutered in about 2 months).

Yes ... *grin* ... I have seen it before and it can be ummmm a bit of a startle at first. I have a blue point Siamese male - he is my breeding stud and is, of course, a whole male. What is even more ummm amusing is that in Siamese males, the testicles are considered one of the "points", in that they darken considerably. So, here I have this gorgeous big boy, with a dark blue face mask, ears, feet, tail and testicles against a frosty-white body. It is quite a contrast to see him from the rear.

Cookie has been neutered, but even now they seem to um, be a bit bigger than the other cats. Course they are easier to spot on him b/c he is orange. Don't know if it's any correlation but he also has a long tail and huge paws.

With my Himalayan, you can see his "parts" really noticibly. He was neutered at 6 years when he was found and so his "parts" are flat and flappy hehe. He has really long thick hair but he is light gray colored and his points are dark colored. He also likes to lay all sprawled out with his legs spread apart

It's actually only difficult to tell male and female cats apart when they are very young. Once the testicles and penis fully develop in the males, it's very easy to sex a male cat from a female. Females will also have their teats present on their belly, though this is more obvious/prominent once they become impregnated.

Neutered/spayed cats, however, can be more difficult to sex.

Here is a link w/ a drawing showing the male backend from a side-section view. It shows the colon, urethra, and testicles of a male dog, though for cats this would be very similar.
